Over the past few decades we have seen the rise in both popularity and peer reviewed research into the benefits of optimal breathing. We have learnt that poor breathing habits can affect mood, sleep, dental health, neck and shoulder pain and your stress levels.

ALTERED STATE BREATHING

In the 60’s Stanislav Grof was at the forefront of research into the therapeutic benefits of LSD in treating his psychiatric patients. When LSD was criminalised he transformed an ancient yogic technique of breathing into what is today known as Holotropic Breathing. This led to the development of many techniques of altered state breathing that are having profound effects on mental wellness and breaking old patterns of behaviour.
